Release Notes

180-gram translucent yellow vinyl record.

Come, join us in the ethereal world of ‘Eternity’, the debut album by def.fo. ‘Eternity’ is a warm, heady, intoxicating mix, a unique blend of swirling psychedelia, warm folk, and pin-sharp trip-hop, this unique record will guide you, taking you by the hand into the dark corridors and bright, sun-kissed mornings of an active imagination.

At the heart of ‘Eternity’ lies a captivating lyrical consciousness, delving deep into the vaults of the past, unraveling untold tales of all our futures, and provoking an urgent contemplation and consideration of the present. Sonically, the album traverses a dynamic range, a place where delicately finger-picked acoustics meet grand, sweeping strings and a beguiling interplay of shimmering psychedelic guitars. Harmony is everywhere. Where are you?

‘Eternity’ features esteemed guest vocal appearances from the legendary Michael Head (Michael Head and the Red Elastic Band, Shack, The Pale Fountains), and enjoys the keys of Chris Geddes (Belle and Sebastian), adding depth, breadth and dimension to this immersive soundscape.

The album was deftly crafted by the father-son duo of Tom Powell and Steve Powell (The Strands, John Power, The Stairs) on production duties, in addition to the mixing prowess of Roy Merchant (Omar, M.I.A, So Solid Crew), and mastering finesse of Howie Weinberg (Gorillaz, Ian Brown, Super Furry Animals).

Eternity is forever. Come, join us.
